Well, you could delete some of the stuff you're not so proud of. I am curious about how well you pulled off realism, I'd like to see some of those here. As for school... variety is the spice of life, and while everything they teach you might not apply after graduation, at least you got a taste of everything, including idiots you have to appease, whether you're on the payroll or not. I guess?
A lot of artists here are in school, though I feel you might gain some perspective from http://theonewithoutaname.newgrounds.com/ Maybe the same can be said of Sabtastic as well, but she's almost done with university in Canada, which is probably a lot more student accommodating...
Anyway, always glad to see and hear new things from you :)

I know the feeling: I had a literature teacher who continuously told me I should not write following my style because, literally, "you're just an high-school student, not a great author", and limit myself to follow the rules of what they consider the mean level of a student.
It's sad to say, but teachers and schools, which were supposed to help you get some basis or improve those you already have just want to standardize you... just stand your ground.
